BuildingRating.org is the leading online tool for sharing global intelligence and best practices on building rating and disclosure policies worldwide.
Building Rating offers four primary features:
Learn about a jurisdiction - An interactive map reveals the jurisdictions (cities, counties, states, or countries) focused on improving the energy and water performance of their buildings. Clicking on the map will take you to a page with detailed information about a jurisdiction’s specific policies or programs.

Compare policies - The site's interactive Policy Comparison Tool allows you to compare specific policy elements across multiple jurisdictions. You can export a policy comparison report as a CSV file that can be used in Microsoft Excel, or copy the report and insert it into a PowerPoint presentation.
Search for content - Use the site's search feature to find important documents, news articles, announcements, blog posts, and graphics. You can filter your search by Location, Topic, and/or Content Type for more refined results.
Recent updates - Find relevant news articles, blog posts, and announcements sorted chronologically.

Building Rating remains free for any user to access. It is a joint initiative of two nonprofits that promote energy efficiency in buildings, the Global Buildings Performance Network (GBPN), and the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) in the U.S.
