Assoc Prof. Poppy Ismalina

Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Gadjah Mada

Dr. Poppy Ismalina is an Associate Professor in economics at the University of Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. Her research interests include Sustainable Climate Finance, Public Policies in Climate Change, Economic Valuation for Environmental and Natural Resources, Financing Scheme for Green Projects, Industry and Competitive Analysis, and Natural Resource, Energy, and Environmental Economics.

Poppy has led and supervised several projects on Sustainable – Climate Finance, Public Policies in Climate Change Issues, Financing Scheme for Green Projects, and COVID-19 Green Recovery. Public Economics, Industry and Competitive Analysis, and Natural Resources and Environmental Economics are among the courses she teaches.

Dr. Ismalina has published several scholarly papers. Her recent works concern green finance in Indonesia, low carbon sustainable development, women in the Indonesia labour market, and community resilience.

Poppy holds a bachelor of economics from the University of Gadjah Mada (1995), a Master in Economic Development from the Australian National University (2003), and a PhD in economics from the University of Groningen (2011). Poppy is based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
