Increasing rate of urbanization and anthropogenic actions are causing serious risks to climate change and global warming. Built environment alone accounts for nearly 40% of global energy consumption, thereby identifies great potential for future energy conservation. We at CARBSE, are working towards intervening in the sector to help in the sustainable development of cities and provide high quality built environments for the citizens by limiting energy demand, carbon emissions, and environmental impact.

Himani is a computer scientist with post-graduation in Urban (Habitat) Management from CEPT University. She has demonstrated experience of three years in the research domain. Currently, she is working as Senior Research Associate at Centre for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy. 

She has held key positions in multi-lateral funded projects such as iNUMBER, IEA-EBC Annex 69, and Advancing Building Energy Efficiency in India 2017-18. She has also acquired professional experience of two years in operations and research across branding and advertising field. Her key areas of interest include energy performance and thermal comfort in the built environment and research development leading to sustainable solutions.
