Our programs develop the capabilities of policy makers, building practitioners, non-governmental organisations and other important stakeholders in the buildings sector; helping users reform buildings and complementary policies, guided by the world’s best practices and local expertise. Online and Onsite Courses
GPBN education programs (whether online, mixed or on-site) offer a recognised resource with international standing.
Course: Getting to Zero with Building Energy Codes: The biggest opportunity to respond to the climate emergency. (Note: this course is currently paused. Check back later to enrol).

The course is designed to support policy makers in understanding the potential of policy reform in the buildings sector, and how coupling building energy codes with complementary policies can lead towards a net zero future.
The course is FREE and takes around 40 minutes to complete. It is delivered using a combination of techniques, including engaging video animations and includes examples of best practice from around the world.
PITCH TO POLICY (P>P)
P>P is a policy innovation competition, created by GBPN and Monash University, based on the highly successful ClimateLaunchpad. Its aim is to find and promote sustainable building innovations.
Like a start-up competition, P>P trains teams to pitch ideas – but to governments rather than markets.
GBPN focuses on government-driven market reforms because they have potential for high impact; but also have high barriers to entry for start-ups, which can stifle clever new ideas.
The concept has already demonstrated its success, with P>P graduate team LEAD Consultancy and Engineering Services (India) winning an important government project using ideas and approaches learned during the competition.
The competition focuses on:
- Collaborating with government to identify real problems requiring policy innovation
- Teaching pitching skills through a 20-hour virtual course and boot camp
- Connecting participants to influential decision makers from government and the buildings sector
GBPN supports winning teams by promoting their innovations to its network and providing ongoing support to turn their concepts into reality.
