Mehdi Taheri has joined GBPN in 2020 and ever since supported GBPN with network and engagement coordination, administration, building policy review and development, research projects, grant proposals, and educational resources.

At Monash University, Melbourne, Mehdi is a PhD candidate in architecture, where he examines the interactions between architectural heritage and diplomacy. His research interests straddle medieval history, cultural studies, and architectural history. Previously, Mehdi has worked as a translator of architectural and philosophical literature, a copyeditor of Persian manuscripts, and a professional researcher in the built environment focusing on compact cities, smart building industry, and BMS market assessment.

Mehdi holds a bachelor in architectural engineering from Islamic Azad University (2015) and an MSc in architectural studies from the University of Tehran (2018). He is based in Melbourne, Australia.
