GBPN Climate champions

Here are some of the passionate GBPN people making changes to build a more sustainable world.

OUR DONORS AND SUPPORTERS

CRUX Alliance

Crux marshals and manages resources for organizations dedicated to the rapid adoption of sectoral climate policies in key countries around the world. Crux effort is committed to ensuring policymakers and other stakeholders on the ground and in-country have the best available information on policy design to reduce carbon emissions at speed and scale. GBPN is part of the global Crux Alliance, working to design and implement smart climate policies around the world.

Climateworks Foundation

The ClimateWorks team is on a mission to end the climate crisis by amplifying the power of philanthropy. GBPN was established by ClimateWorks in 2011 and with their support we’ve established key policy reform platforms and initiatives in the EU, China, India and the USA. ClimateWorks is now supporting GBPN to overcome barriers to policy reform in Indonesia by filling the data gaps in residential building energy demand.

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system, and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. UNEP and GBPN have been working together since 2013 to support nations to reform national policies and include the buildings sector in climate actions and commitments.

Monash University, Australia

Monash University, ranked among the world’s top 100 Universities and the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (MADA) as a global innovator in built environment research and education will be a strong partner to the GBPN globally, and in S.E. Asia. MADA is leading integrative, transformational practice-based research on real-life projects that are important to the future of our cities and our planet. Monash University is a Global Expert Partner of the GBPN and host for the GBPN Regional Office for Asia Pacific.

Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF)

Climate change poses the single biggest threat to the future of today’s children.

CIFF is committed to accelerating solutions that will mitigate climate change. A climate-safe future promises multiple benefits such as cleaner air, energy security and sustainable jobs, along with smart stewardship of the planet’s resources. CIFF has been a major supporter of the development of our Policy Evidence Library with the aim of accelerating urban climate policy reform by providing unprecedented access to the ‘what-works’ evidence.
