2020, a bright outlook for GBPN

As we are heading to 2020, it is the perfect time to contemplate our next steps in the light of recent accomplishments and highlights of the past year. 2019 was an energy boost that takes us to a new level. We’re confident that 2020 is going to be even better!

2019 has been a fantastic year of many new beginnings for GBPN. We have a new outstanding Board of Directors providing us with valuable insights and supporting the remarkable leadership of Peter Graham, our Executive Director. We are thrilled to have received new core funding and to have been able to continue implementing our strategy for buildings in Asia to cut CO2 emissions.

We have also been strengthening and growing GBPN’s network and partnerships: our approach to developing ‘expert partnerships’ has enabled us to grow our local support base rapidly in India, where our expert partners AEEE and CEPT have assembled a team of eight people to support the adoption of ECBC-R. Our partnership with Monash University in Melbourne, Australia has been a determining element in recruiting our Program Manager for India and SE Asia, and our Knowledge Manager, both of them already active and effective in their position. We are proud of our new extended team members’ energy to drive transformative and positive changes and learning.

Above all, we have secured funding for full implementation of our work programs in 2020, and have started developing proposals for on-going funding for 2021 – 2024. This gives us encouraging and positive prospects and we are more than ever committed to outstanding work and actions towards a successful impact.

2019 has been an energy boost that takes us to a new level. We’re confident that 2020 is going to be even better!
We are incredibly thankful to our funders, supporters, Board members, team and friends! Together we are continuing to build the future of energy-efficient buildings!
We wish you all a wonderful 2020!
