Tanmay Tathagat leads Environmental Design Solutions (EDS). EDS is a multidisciplinary consulting firm working on climate change policies, energy-efficient building design, building code development, energy efficiency policy development, energy simulation and green building certification process.

Tanmay uses his diverse experience to lead the integrated design process and find unique opportunities for cross-pollination of ideas across disciplines. Tanmay has also been working closely with governments for developing sustainable policies for the built environment and support program implementation.

Tanmay’s career highlights over the past three decades include the development of the Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC 2007 and ECBC 2017), the Eco-Housing program in India, and the Market Transformation and Integration for Energy Efficiency (MAITREE) program. Tanmay has also supported the energy efficiency building code development in California, India, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam and has conducted training programs for building professionals globally.

Tanmay holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi (1993) and an MS in Climate Responsive Design from Arizona State University (1997). Tanmay is based in New Delhi, India.
