A unique approach to decarbonizing a nation

GBPN has captured compelling insights into its successful work in Indonesia, where it has piloted a bottom-up approach to policy change. These insights have now been documented in a short publication, which is now available for download.

Working collaboratively with the government and local experts ensures that voices from all corners contribute to the creation of a more environmentally conscious future. Importantly, this local engagement is a critical step not just for building sector decarbonization, but also towards achieving Indonesia’s National Determined Contribution (NDC).

GBPN and its partners have successfully implemented projects in Samarinda and Bali. This work offers insights into this innovative approach, which has been praised by the UN as a “noteworthy initiative”. Download the publication below to find out more about:

  • How GBPN’s bottom-up strategy bridges the gap between national and subnational governments, fostering a seamless synergy in policy implementation.
  • On the ground success stories that pave the way for a greener future in Indonesia.
